To provide our core features (animating your screen edges), Edge Lighting requires certain device permissions. Here is exactly how they are used:
This is a core permission required to trigger the edge lighting effect when you receive a new notification (e.g., WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram). We only detect the "arrival event" of a notification. We absolutely DO NOT read, store, or share the text, sender name, or any content of your notifications. The detection happens entirely locally on your phone.
This permission is required to draw the edge lighting animations on top of your screen, allowing the lights to be visible even when the app is closed or your phone is locked.
This permission is used solely to detect when there is an incoming call so the app can illuminate your screen edges. We do not record calls, read call history, or access your phone number.
Any settings or customizations you create within the app (such as colors, animation speed, notch types) are saved locally on your device using Android's standard preferences system. If you uninstall the app, this configuration data is automatically deleted.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
